WHO ARE WE?
Alison Hawkes - Worker
Alison started life working as a lighting and sound technician in theatre before being bitten by the Turkey bug in 1989. She began working as a rep (doesn't everyone start this way?) and then turned to aviation and tour operation in the airport which she has been doing for the last 18 years.
Serpil ARAN - Another Worker
Serpil is the most senior person in the company (for senior read oldest!). Born in Istanbul she trained as a social worker and decided that the most needy people were actually in the airport. She decided to retire at the end of 2004 but then made the mistake of joining Yabanci Services so gets no peace at all now!
Emine SAHIN - Tea Girl
Emine studied English, Travel and Tourism in England and after four years returned to Turkey to work in ground handling and then Yabanci. She has three men to look after - two sons and her husband and therefore appreciates the all-girls team in the office.
Mehtap ABA - Tea Supplies officer
Mehtap has worked in the airport for nearly 20 years (she must have started when she was 7 years old because she looks so young).
Yuksel SOZEN - Hard Worker
Yuksel joined the company last so she always gets to do the worst jobs, mostly at night in the airport with the delayed flights and drunk passengers. She is slowly going selectively deaf!
Gulay YILMAZ - Tea project assistant
Gulay once worked as cabin crew so knows how to tip tea into passengers laps.
Selda GÖKMEN - Assistant Tea Girl
Selda has worked in aviation for 10 years in both Dalaman and Bodrum. She doesn't like dogs and so the Director of Yabanci Services won't let her work in the Dalaman office so she stays in Bodrum.
Spot the Dog - Director
Spot is in charge of everything and everyone in Dalaman. He actually owns most of Turkey and makes sure everyone know this by peeing everywhere at every opportunity. Spot likes chicken and swimming and when he grows up he is going to be a Alsatian.
James and Abigail - trainees
Will be running the company just as soon as they learn to run!
